I am sure by now you have heard of Law of Attraction. Perhaps you have even read or watched the movie “The Secret”…
“The law of attraction is the attractive, magnetic power of the Universe that draws similar energies together. It manifests through the power of creation, everywhere and in many ways. Even the law of gravity is part of the law of attraction. This law attracts thoughts, ideas, people, situations and circumstances”.(1)
Suffice it to say that if you have ever wanted to manifest something into your life you have probably dipped your toe into the Law of Attraction.
Now the even bigger question is… did it work?
Were you trying to manifest a dream home, a trip, a job… the partner of your dreams?
The Law of Attraction is REAL and it WORKS. Because everything is energy and in the world of energy; “like attracts like”.
So why do I tell so many of my clients to go deep and really look at their deepest darkest ‘stuff’? Why do I guide them through a journey of purging, healing and releasing childhood trauma, and emotions such as guilt, shame and self judgement?
One would say that if I really understood the Law of Attraction I would be encouraging ‘high vibe’ thoughts and actions.
Well here is the truth; in order to ‘attract’ abundance (money, love, experiences) into your life you must be IN the vibrational frequency of abundance in order to RECEIVE it.
If you have unresolved pain, emotion or trauma. Self limiting beliefs and issues with worthiness; you can place as many orders as you wish using the Law of Attraction and NEVER harvest one darn thing.
That is why it’s so important to ‘DO THE WORK’. I know; it seems counter intuitive to delve into the deepest darkest parts of yourself or your journey when ‘high vibing ‘ is the place to be. BUT you just can’t ‘hold’ the vibration of abundance if you are being literally weighed down by your past. The only way to achieve and maintain the higher vibrational/receiving frequencies is to “Do the Work”.
So the next time you are looking to manifest some pretty amazing stuff into your life experience; ask yourself, “What do I need to look at, heal or let go of in order to match what I am looking to have?”
